About Judy Brice

Hello, I am Judy Brice, founder of the company. I am a fully qualified Primary Teacher with over 20 years of experience in the Education Sector. 

After working in Primary Schools and as Head of Maths in a Prep School, I moved to teach Secondary age and taught Maths up to GCSE/IGCSE. 

Above all, this gives me a unique viewpoint in which I have a deep understanding of how each topic builds cyclically upon itself, and I can identify missing knowledge or skills or misconceptions, fill those gaps and raise attainment.

I have over ten years of experience in private tuition and now work full-time as an Online Specialist Maths Private Tutor.  

I won an industry award in December 2021 as Tutor of the Year 2021.

Specialist Maths Tuition for Dyscalculia and Dyslexia

"I specialise in teaching less conventionally academic children, and I try to develop ways to support, scaffold or generally enable and empower them. Most have some combination of Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, ADHD, or are somewhere on the Autistic Spectrum. Therefore, I am experienced in helping children who often fall through the cracks at school and also need a kinder and more compassionate route to success."

I am a member of the British Dyslexia Association, and I endeavour to make all tutoring, consultancy and new Parent Courses as Dyslexia friendly as possible.  In addition, all printable resources are designed using Dyslexia friendly fonts, and it is recommended to print them onto non-white paper, such as pale cream, to relieve visual stress.  

Importantly, I am always adding to my knowledge, and I undertake up-to-date specialist training for teaching maths to children who have been diagnosed or suspected of having Dyslexia or Dyscalculia (sometimes referred to as 'maths or number dyslexia'.)

About JMB Educational Services

JMB Education Services Ltd is the new name for JMB Tutoring UK. The companies were founded by Judy Brice.

Since April 2021, the company has become a limited company, with a slight change of name. In the future, there are exciting plans to expand the company to cover specialist English tuition for our children too. Giving high-quality and engaging online English tuition from experienced and highly qualified teachers.

These lessons will also be practical, hands-on and taught in a visual way and will be within the same ethos as the maths tuition.

Our English Tutors will have extra specialist training in teaching children with Dyslexic tendencies.

Also, as part of the new services will be Dyslexia and Dyscalculia screeners and diagnostic assessments. These will be carried out by fully qualified and accredited L7 PATOSS and BDA assessors. If your child also has suspected ADHD or ASC, it will be possible to be assessed by an Educational Psychologist instead.
